Dance Shorts

The new restrictions facing theatre and live performance in 2020 have pushed us to broaden our creative practice to include film and digital media. Aside from our award-winning short film, Faitíos, we have also made a series of dance shorts filmed at Shawbrook Dance, Co. Longford.

About Us

How Fizz met Chips.

Fizz & Chips came about when a group of friends and performers decided they wanted to make socially challenging arts experiences fun. Blending music, movement, humour and contemporary themes, we seek to make work that will both interrogate and inspire. We have currently just finished our first tour of Never Mind the Weather, across primary schools in Ireland and over in the UK we are developing a brand new LGBTQ+ show about bisexuality which will premiere in Colchester Fringe Festival. While our primary forms are theatre and film, we also run diverse arts events and have produced a podcast, Fizz, Chips & Chats.

"Skilfully choreographed, and the cast showcase their musical and dramatic versatility"

- No More Workhorse

Our work has been developed with the support of Kildare County Council, Creative Ireland, FRINGE Lab, The New Theatre, and Smock Alley's Scene & Heard Festival.
